Balls pits, climbing walls and mazes coming soon to new play venue at Cordova Mall

An incoming addition to Cordova Mall will try to “recapture the magic of childhood” with a spacious indoor playground.

The new playground will be the home of Kids Empire, a nationwide indoor-playground chain with over 70 locations across the country.

Pensacola youth will be able to explore the colorful new playground soon, with a grand opening set for the end of 2024 within Cordova Mall.

Whether they’re using the slides, riding bikes or climbing around, there’ll be plenty of ways for your children to play at Kids Empire. Tickets give children access to the playground all day, including re-entry.

Kids Empire will open near Belk after finishing construction, according to Cordova Mall, with a variety of ball pits, mazes and climbing walls, among other play structures.

What should I know about Kids Empire?

Kids Empire is a chain of indoor-playground venues with over 70 locations nationwide. Their venues are spaces “where age is just a number, but fun never gets old,” according to Kids Empire’s website.

Kids Empire has mazes, a dance floor, soccer posts, bikes and more for children to use while inside, which gives them the choice of how they want to play and be active.

They will have a space dedicated for "tots," young children still in diapers, which are designed with age-appropriate structures like low-height slides.

Kids Empire also offers birthday party and field trip packages for interested groups.

You’ll have to sign a waiver before your children can play inside Kids Empire, which can be done in person or online on their website before your visit.

Socks are also mandatory for everyone, including adults, while inside Kids Empire. They will have Kids Empire socks available for $3 at their front desk if you or your children need a pair.

The new playground will also have both a snack bar and a souvenir shop inside the venue.

How much will Kids Empire cost?

Ticket costs for Kids Empire vary across their locations and the prices for the incoming Cordova Mall location are not available yet.

A child ticket to Kids Empire, which is for kids from 1 year old to 17 years old, costs between $17.90 and $24.90 depending on the location.

Infant tickets, for those up to 11-months old, will be free if they’re accompanied by another sibling. If infants don’t have a sibling with them, then the location’s rate for the ticket will apply, according to Kids Empire’s website.

Adults 18-years and older will get two free entry tickets to Kids Empire per child. Tickets will cost $5 for every additional adult outside of the two free entries.

If you prefer to buy the tickets for multiple trips and not every time you visit, you can get a Kids Empire’s punch card for $159, which gets you 10 admissions and has no expiration date.
