Beth Chapman Revealed Her Cancer "Battle Scar" on Instagram
Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman spent 2017 dealing with a throat cancer diagnosis and the grueling treatment that came after. On an A&E special, Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives, Beth and her husband, Duane "Dog" Chapman, revealed that Chapman was officially cancer-free.
But despite the good news, not everything is back to normal for Beth. On New Year's Day, she posted a photo on Instagram that showed her neck for the first time since her cancer treatment. Previously, she always posed for photos with a choker or other piece of jewelry covering her surgery scar.
But now, she's showing the effects of cancer, and talking about how it has affected her body image. "Prior to my surgery, I had no lines, no wrinkles, a perfect neck if you will," she wrote. "It has been very hard to look at this in the mirror, it serves as a constant reminder of something I'd love to forget." But she said in 2018, she plans on embracing her "battle scar" and view her health struggles as a life lesson going forward.
