Beyoncé admits ‘raising three kids isn’t easy’ but she loves it
In her recent GQ interview, Beyoncé revealed that parenting her three hasn’t been easy. The singer shares daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Sir and Rumi, 7, with her husband Jay-Z. She started the interview by confessing to “parenting while working” and getting some work done before her twins woke up for the day.
In a more detailed explanation about parenting her three children, Queen Bey said, “Raising three kids isn’t easy. The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies, and social lives.” She further noted, “Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It’s grounding and fulfilling.”
Beyoncé also expressed that her world schedule was built according to her family commitments. She admitted that she tries to tour only when her kids are out of school so as to expose her family to “different languages, architecture, and lifestyles.” The singer added that her kids are everywhere she goes, including her studio and dance rehearsals.
The mother-of-three talked about Blue Ivy joining her on the Renaissance tour and performing intense choreography to a few of her songs. She discussed her daughter’s talents in music, fashion, and art. However, she also noted that Blue Ivy decided to appear on stage.
Beyoncé said, “She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”
In addition to this, the “Formation” hitmaker stressed the importance of having her kids live in normalcy and have privacy in their lives. She confessed to trying to be true to herself and protecting her family, given that peace is paramount for her.
