Bless BBC! Queen Elizabeth Is Offering a Rare Look Inside the Palace Walls
Queen Elizabeth is giving us a never-before-seen tour of her favorite royal properties.
This summer, the BBC will air three episodes of Countryfile, a British documentary series, filmed inside the queen’s most iconic residences: Balmoral Castle, Sandringham House and—drumroll, please—Windsor Castle. The show received exclusive access from the queen herself to document what life is like within the palace walls. Cha-ching!
The royal family announced the exciting news on Twitter, writing, “This summer, @BBC will broadcast three @BBCCountryfile episodes, filmed with permission from Her Majesty the Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh, on the private estates at Windsor, Balmoral and Sandringham.”
Windsor Castle in Berkshire
If you need a refresher, you should know that Windsor Castle is probably the most recognizable of the trio. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will exchange vows at the Berkshire residence on May 19.
Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire
You probably recognize this as the place where Markle first met the queen last summer.
Sandringham House in Norfolk
Sandringham House, on the other hand, is where the royal family spends Christmas every year.
Yep, this is going to be good.
