After the Super Bowl, there always seems to be a lull in exciting sports events. Professional basketball, hockey and golf are still going, but they are in their regular season play, so it's just the "same old, same old."
But once March hits, it’s like a unicorn sprinkled some magical glittery happy dust amongst the country, and low and behold, March Madness emerges. And we've got plenty of funny March Madness bracket names to inspire you.
The college basketball playoffs take hold this month and over 10 million people catch "bracket fever" and go "mad" watching events unfold. Could this be the year that their team makes it all the way? Maybe a new Cinderella story is in the making?
I remember my first Cinderella story: 1999 Gonzaga Bulldogs making it to the elite 8.
I had never really watched college basketball and didn’t know anything about any of the teams, but still was fascinated enough to participate in the office bracket contest.
I liked the name Gonzaga, and no one else was picking them, so I picked them to go to the final four (oh, so close!). And with all of that drama, and the $100 I won from the most winning bracket (rookie luck), I was HOOOOOKED!
This is the first year I will be naming my bracket too. The names that people are coming up with are EPIC, and will only add to the fun of watching the tournament.
One of my favorites has to be “Full Metal Bracket.”
But I am going out on my own this one…and what will it be, you ask? Let’s just say it will be one of the following 70 fantastically fun NCAA bracket names listed below.

When Does March Madness Start?
Selection Sunday begins on Sunday, March 12, and then the First Four begins on Tuesday, March 14. March Madness will wrap up on Monday, April 3.
