Butterfinger Unveils New Flavor and Fans Say They 'Need a Case Immediately'
The crisp, chocolatey, peanut flavor fans know, love and expect from their Butterfinger is about to be enhanced–or at least so we hope.
We have it on good word that the decades-old candy bar is expanding with a new flavor profile, and so far, fans seem to approve of the simple yet massive overhaul.
According to food blogger Snackolator, who regularly previews and taste-tests new and upcoming fast food and snack items, Butterfinger privately teased that a new variety would be coming soon and hinted that more information would be made available at the upcoming National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) convention in Las Vegas later this month.
"Coming soon are SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERFINGER bars.... this is 100% real, and I need a case immediately," the influencer shared in an Oct. 2 Instagram post.

Another well-respected food blogger known online as CandyHunting quipped back, quoting an apparent statement from the brand, "'Butterfinger's first innovation in 10 years.' Yes, we have noticed."
As for the average sweet tooth, many of them also appear enticed by the addition, with one writing, "Omg in heaven."
"Sounds amazing!" a second exclaimed. "I love Twix salted caramel!"
Someone else joked: "My back just got bigger."
"Sounds good," a different social media user added, suggesting that should the confectionary company want to expand the lineup further, they "would love a white chocolate Butterfinger."
Neither Butterfinger nor its parent company have publicly confirmed the new candy, and it's not listed in the Ferrara Candy Company's exhibition details for the NACS showcase that kicks off next week. But given Snackolator's track record (as well as comments shared by others in the know), we're inclined to believe that it's not a matter of if but when the Salted Caramel version of Butterfinger will hit shelves and join the original candy bar, its minis and dessert-topper bits.
