How to get a Taco Bell Baja Blast Stanley Cup

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Mountain Dew Baja Blast, Taco Bell’s famous beverage, the company is giving away special tumblers in addition to other freebies and offers.

As of Tuesday, August 13, Taco Bell reward members have a chance to win the limited edition Stanley Cup tumbler  in the Tuesday drops section of the Taco Bell app. (The app is free to download, and signing up for the rewards program is also free.)

The Taco Bell Baja Blast Stanley Cups are only available to the first 100 rewards members. And if you’re lucky enough to not only snag the tumbler but be one of the first 20 members to do so, then you will also receive “Free Baja Blast for a year.” This will be presented in the form of a $200 Taco Bell Gift Card.

The Baja Blast has been a fan favorite for two decades. “We’re extremely proud of the synonymous, iconic duo Taco Bell and BAJA BLAST have become,” Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell, Taylor Montgomery, said in a statement. “We’re celebrating this incredible milestone just as much as our die-hard Baja fans and can’t wait to share even more epic experiences, innovations and rewards.”

What is a Taco Bell Baja blast?

For those unfamiliar with the fan-favorite beverage, the Mountain Dew Baja Blast was created exclusively for Taco Bell. It made its debut in 2004 and easily became a staple in people’s orders at the chain.

The success of the tropical lime drink has encouraged Mountain Dew to experiment and play around with more Baja Blast items on the Taco Bell Menu which the chain will be implementing in the upcoming months.

“We’re constantly inspired by our fans and feed off their energy, which drives our urge to deliver breakthrough innovations and exclusive offerings to thank those who have supported us – whether it’s our diehard fans from day one to new consumers who continue to join our fandom each and every day,” said JP Bittencourt, vice president of marketing at Mountain Dew in a statement regarding the long-term collaboration.

How else is Taco Bell celebrating the Baja Blast?

Dubbed the Bajaversary, the 20th-year celebration of the beverage is going all out for fans. The campaign kicked off on July 29 when the fast-food chain gave away free medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drinks and regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze drinks.

The 20th Bajaversary party doesn’t stop there. Starting September 3, Baja Blast Gelato will be available at Taco Bell locations nationwide. In partnership with Taco Bell, PepsiCo Foodservice created the Baja Blast lime flavor, but it will only be available for a limited time. The gelato is also exclusive to Taco Bell rewards members in the app.

Taco Bell is also excited to introduce a Baja Blast pie to their line-up later this year. They first teased this during Taco Bell’s Live Más Live event in Las Vegas in February.

Besides new menu items, Taco Bell is also offering deals and freebies on the beverage itself. Those going to Taco Bell can now save more money during “Happier Hour.” Every day from 2-5 p.m., customers can get a $1 medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drink or regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze.
