'When Calls the Heart' Star Daniel Lissing Shared the Sweetest Photos of His Engagement

Daniel Lissing is engaged, and we've got all the details!
The former When Calls the Heart star is best known for playing Constable Jack Thornton.
He shared the news by posting a sweet photo on Instagram.
It's the fairytale ending we always wanted for Jack Thornton!
Back in 2018, When Calls the Heart viewers were heartbroken that Jack and Elizabeth Thatcher's on-screen chemistry was cut short when actor Daniel Lissing abruptly left the show. But now, Hearties have a new love story to cheer for: Daniel just got engaged in real life—and the moment was every bit as magical as a Hallmark romance.
If we can't have Jack and Elizabeth, this is the next best thing.
The 38-year-old actor shared the exciting news on Instagram last week.
"Happy news to share... I get to marry the love of my life!" he captioned a sweet photo of him and his fiancée, who we know only as "Nadia." (She's kept her last name hidden to protect her privacy.)
As if that wasn't enough to thrill us, Daniel also spoke in more depth about the proposal itself in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, revealing that he popped the question at the couple's home.
"I kept it very simple... On her birthday. I just spoke from my heart," he shared. "Although, I'm not sure she heard a word. There was a lot of screaming and crying with happiness. And she was doing the same."
Over on Nadia's Instagram, fans were treated to a closer look at the ring. "Couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else," she captioned a shot of a princess-cut diamond with a platinum band.
So, what's next for the happy couple—and what can we expect their wedding to be like?
"We're definitely surf and sand kinda people," Daniel explained. "So, we've just started talking about an island wedding. Saying that, it's [still in the] early days and truthfully I don't really care where it is. Just as long as it's her I'm doing it with."
One thing we do know for sure: We'll get to see Jack and Elizabeth reunite at another wedding.
"We haven't got to the guest list yet," Daniel said. "But you'll be sure to see some of the WCTH team in pictures of our special day."
