Cameron Diaz says she used to dance in her bedroom for an early morning workout: 'It just gets your blood going'
Cameron Diaz is spilling the tea on her former go-to workout method.
The mom of one reflected on her pre-baby workout of choice on a FaceTime call with friend and Charlie's Angels co-star Drew Barrymore.
In lieu of hours on the treadmill or lifting intense weights, Diaz preferred to just bust a move.
"Dancing first thing in the morning, that used to be my morning wake up, before I had a child and was married," Diaz told Barrymore, who shared the fun chat to Instagram.
These impromptu workout sessions were great for Diaz, who had early call times that could make heading to the gym a hassle.
"I would have, like, a 5 a.m. or 6 a.m. call. I would get up at, you know, 4 a.m., and instead of going to the gym I would just put on my playlist and danced in my bedroom, or wherever, for like a good half hour's playlist as I was drenched," said Diaz.
Barrymore also inquired about claims that Diaz preferred to get her sweat on in the buff.
"Because I think a quote said ‘clothing-optional.’ So out of curiosity, how often were you naked?" asked Drew.
Diaz was candid in her explanation.
"I was, like, not getting into workout clothes. Because I was just in my underwear and, you know, a tank top or whatever," said Diaz.
Barrymore then pointed out that Diaz's version of undergarments might be a bit skimpier than stereotypical underwear, noting, "Well, I know your undies are butt-less anyway, so more of a G-string and a tank top.”
Diaz still stands by the workout, explaining it as a no-frills way to get in some extra movement from the comfort of your home: ”You don't need anything and it just gets your blood going. You know?”
