Kate Middleton's Mom Plans a Christmas Surprise for George & Charlotte
Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, has given her first ever interview, which was published in The Telegraph.
Carole opened up about how life has changed since her daughter married Prince William.
In the most adorable anecdote, Kate Middleton's mom revealed the one thing she does for the royal grandchildren-Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis-during the holidays.
Carole Middleton's very first interview ever was filled with revelations about Kate's upbringing, and what Pippa Middleton used to do at the family business. But the sweetest moment, by far, involves what the Middleton matriarch likes to do for the royal grandchildren during the festive season.
While Prince Charles' relationship with the his grandchildren is often focused on, George, Charlotte, and Louis' other grandparents are often left out of the spotlight, which is why it's so sweet to hear Carole's side of the story.
Opening up about Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate and Pippa's mom explained to The Telegraph that, when it comes to Christmas trees, "she likes to have as many as possible in the house." And most importantly, Carole makes sure she puts "one in the grandchildren’s rooms, 'so that they can decorate it themselves.'" Basically, when George, Charlotte, and Louis visit Kate's parents during the holidays, they can have lots of fun getting festive with their own Christmas trees.
Of course, earlier this year in the documentary The Queen's Green Planet, Queen Elizabeth revealed that her great-grandchildren love to help decorate the Christmas tree in Buckingham Palace. The Queen said, "Yes, that is always the problem, is the children love knocking those [decorations] off. Well my great-grandchildren do, anyway they enjoy themselves."
