Cassie Randolph Says She’s Had an “Awful Few Months” Following Breakup With Colton Underwood
Cassie Randolph revealed she’s had an “awful few months” following her breakup with Bachelor Colton Underwood.
Cassie said she deleted Instagram for 30 days and criticized trolls.
Cassie Randolph has logged back on to Instagram with a lengthy post detailing how hard it’s been dealing with trolls in the wake of her breakup with Colton Underwood. Like, it got so bad that she legit deleted the app for a full 30 days.
Cassie explained that she used to think Instagram would give her a voice, but in many ways, the platform has taken her voice, which she finds stressful and “paralyzing.”
“It takes really thick skin to navigate constant drama, fake articles, nasty DMs & comments or rumors started by people who feel entitled to your personal life,” she said. “It takes incredible mental strength to shrug off strangers who regularly criticize your character based on conclusions they drew while watching an edited tv show (I could say so much here). It can feel like an uphill battle.”
She went on to explain that it’s been “an awful few months” trying to get through her breakup, and she’s still going through it: “It’s hard enough w/out your know-it-all comments,” she said. “You literally know nothing so go away.”
Cassie said she canceled contracts and deleted Instagram so she could “live in the moment” and reevaluate her dreams:
“One minute I feel my rant above & the next I feel selfish thinking about myself when there are truly critical issues in the world right now: BLM, Covid, toxic politics, matters of life and death; social injustice. Kinda puts personal problems in perspective. Hence, the reason I decided (against advice) to cancel contracts & delete IG for 30 days. The break, tho short, was amazing.”
