Celebs Wear Orange Pins at Oscars for Gun Reform
The 2018 Golden Globes had Time's Up pins and all-black outfits. The 2018 Grammys had white roses to support the cause. But the 2018 Oscars will have orange pins with an American flag to bring attention to another vital movement besides #MeToo: anti-gun violence.
In the wake of mass shootings such as Parkland, Las Vegas, Orlando, Manchester, Sandy Hook (the list is practically endless), celebs - as well as everyone with a conscience - have had enough.
People are wearing orange pins to support gun control reform on behalf of Everytown for Gun Safety, which is "a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities," according to the organization's website.
Of course, not wearing an orange pin doesn't mean a celeb doesn't support gun control, but it does help to quickly identify where he or she stands on the matter.
Since this cause isn't a one-night only event that people chat about on Twitter while using the hashtag #WearOrange, then forget about the next day, you can help spread awareness by wearing your own orange flag pin. You can buy them here.
