Pizza — Italian in origin but universally loved.

Crafting a perfect pie is somewhat of an art form, and possibilities are endless as to what your ideal pizza entails.

There is no right or wrong answer to the question: "What do you want on that?" (although pineapple people will still get a side-eye).

Whether you prefer your pizza simple or piled with traditional — and not so traditional — toppings, thin crust or deep dish, eaten or folded or flat, it's an iconic comfort food that brings joy no matter how you slice it.

So much so that there are several food holidays throughout the year devoted to this delicious pie.

As we approach National Pepperoni Pizza Day on Sept. 20, and with National Pizza Month on the horizon this October, we thought it would be a great time to find out who slings the best pie in Greater Fall River.

And there are certainly plenty of places to turn. We've compiled a list of 20 local pizzerias and are looking to readers to weigh in on their favorite.
