From Cher to Mariah Carey to Lady Gaga to Aerosmith: All the Stars That Are Performing in Las Vegas
Aerosmith announced this week that they will be returning to the stage — but not for a worldwide tour. Rather, the band is hoping you’ll come to them as part of their new Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at MGM Grand starting in 2019.
“I feel like we've been out of the wind for a while and it seems like it would be a really cool thing to bring some of the history back, so the production is gonna look like that,” Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry said on TODAY. “We want to bring a show we can't do when we're on the road on a regular tour. A show that still has Aerosmith and all the guts of Aerosmith.”
And Aerosmith isn’t the only game in town when it comes to epic Las Vegas residencies. Here are just a few of the stellar acts you can catch on the Strip.
Celine Dion: The Colosseum at Caesars Palace
With 400 Vegas shows under her belt, Dion may be the queen of the Vegas residency. Her show, which began in 2011, is still going strong at The Colosseum. However, if you want to see the Canadian diva in action you better act fast, as the residency is set to end in January of 2019.
Mariah Carey: The Colosseum at Caesars Palace
Also singing at The Colosseum is superstar Mariah Carey. Her show, according to Caesars, is a more intimate performance by Carey than fans have ever seen before. But fans can still expect her high-impact wardrobe changes throughout.
Backstreet Boys: Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
Backstreet’s back, alright! Everyone’s favorite ‘90s boy band (don’t come at me N’sync fans) is back and now available on the Vegas strip. The show, which began in 2017, features all the band’s favorite hits and even a couple of new songs. But, like Dion, these tickets won’t last forever as the band is expected to wrap up its residency in 2019.
Jennifer Lopez: Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood
Jennifer “J. Lo” Lopez is wrapping up her own Vegas residency on September 29. But, if you can score tickets, this high-voltage show is one well-worth seeing. The girl from the Bronx puts on one hell of a glitzy show that the 300,000-plus fans who have seen the show absolutely love.
Blink 182: The Palms Las Vegas Residency
Is it us, or is there a trend of ‘90s musical icons taking up residency in Vegas? Who cares, they’re all awesome, including Blink 182, who just began their residency at The Palms. The newly-renovated venue is perfect for the newly-renovated band now that Matt Skiba has taken over for Tom Delonge.
Lady Gaga: Park Theater at Park MGM
Lady Gaga will also soon be joining this jam-packed Vegas lineup with her own residency at the Park Theater at the Park MGM resort on December 28, 2018. Her show is expected to be filled with her dance classic hits, as well as stripped-down performances of her beloved songs. Tickets to her show are already on sale, and selling like hot cakes, so pick up yours now.
Cher: Park Theater at Park MGM
Last and definitely the MOST, Cher is continuing her Las Vegas performances this October and November. Select dates only, so if you want to see the Goddess of Pop, don't wait to buy your tickets and book the trip.
