If you're a fan of Delish, a few things about this recipe will stand out immediately: It's not a cheesecake, there's no boxed mix, and the whole process seems to take a really long time. Unlike most of our desserts, which are quick and easy, this is an involved recipe you'll want to read through a few times before you get started. But here's the thing, it's 110% worth it. If you're the type of person whose scared of baking, don't leave just yet. Yes, this cake takes some planning and patience but technique-wise, it's not difficult. In fact, you've probably already made the crust and/or the ganache a million times before. (They're the same here as they are in many of our most popular cheesecakes.) AND there's no baking involved. The mousse gets all the height from gelatin and whipped cream.
My biggest piece of advice is to make this the day before you want to serve it. It'll be way less stressful this way, especially considering the cake needs about 4 hours to set in the fridge. And, as always, watch the video. It'll help make everything click.
