‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Star Hospitalized Following 'Horrific' Car Accident
The 16-year-old could not recall how the accident happened.
Grayson Chrisley was involved in a car accident this past Saturday evening.
The reality star–and 16-year-old son of Todd and Julie Chrisley–was rushed to the hospital after a car accident in Nashville, Tennessee.
TMZ reported that the Chrisley Knows Best star rear-ended a vehicle in standstill traffic on the interstate in Nashville.
While talking to police, Chrisley could not recall how the accident happened due to a possible head injury. He was then later transported to the hospital via ambulance.
During Todd's Nov. 17 episode of his podcast, Chrisley Confessions, he detailed the accident to listeners, per PEOPLE.
"Grayson was in a horrific car accident on the interstate, and we got the phone call that we had to get to him," he said. "I ran out of the house, you know, jumped in the car, and found him on the interstate."
"I remember looking at Grayson on that stretcher in the back of that ambulance and him crying and the police stopping to talk to me before they took me to him, and all I could think of was, thank you, God, because he is alive and crying," he recalled.
"Then, they said you want to ride with him to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and I said, 'I'm not going anywhere. I'll be with him until he comes home with me,'" he continued. "So, I remember holding his hand and saying, 'It's ok. It's gonna be ok.'"
Grayson's accident occurred just a week before the real estate tycoon and his wife are expected to appear in court for sentencing regarding their bank fraud and tax evasion case.
During the couple's trial in June, a jury found them guilty on multiple charges, including conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans and tax evasion.
