Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Secretly Welcome Baby No. 4 Via Surrogate
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are officially parents of four!
On June 28, Teigen revealed in a surprising social media announcement that the family had welcomed baby No. 4 via surrogate on June 19.
"For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted four children," the lengthy message, which appeared as a typed note spread across several slides, opened.
She went on, explaining the gut-wrenching heartbreak she experienced after the pregnancy loss of her baby boy, Jack, and expressing that nonetheless, she always wanted to continue growing her family. Eventually, they found the perfect time to do it.
The Lip Sync Battle alum divulged that after deciding she wanted to "try to carry just one more time," and restarting the in vitro fertilization process—the method by which all her children came to be—she became pregnant again.
"Around this same time, we also met the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine, Alexandra," Teigen wrote, gushing about what a "perfect match" the woman was for the family's desires. Despite the first embryo they tried unfortunately not surviving, they decided not to "rush the process" and instead, focus on being "patient."
"As we crept toward the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy. Our little boy," she wrote, later including, "We are so happy to tell the world, with a name forever connected to you," before revealing the baby's name as Wren Alexander.

"Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you," she added.
Teigen, herself, gave birth to the couple's third child, Esti Maxine, conceived via IVF, just earlier this year on Jan. 13.
Now, the family of six is celebrating their newest addition. The two 2023-born babes join the pair's older children: daughter Luna, 7, and son Miles, 5.
Immediately following the former SI Swimsuit model's social media post, Legend took to Instagram with an announcement of his own, sharing the news with fans and followers with a trio of loving family captures featuring the bundle of joy.
"Wren Alexander Stephens, our new love," the music artist captioned the photoset.
