Chrissy Teigen Proves Thigh-High Boots are Made for Walking—With a Stroller

Chrissy Teigen continues to be one mama with mad style.

The model, who is in New York City for the Tribeca Film Festival, was spotted out and about in Manhattan yesterday with husband John Legend and daughter Luna — and legging shamers, stand down: There was not a pair of stretchy pants in sight. Instead, Teigen sported a pair of high-waist denim cutoffs — they’re not “mom jeans,” they’re “mom jean shorts,” fresh for spring — with a low-cut white bodysuit and classic black menswear-style blazer.

But the kicker? A pair of stiletto-heeled, over-the-knee boots. Clearly, this mother of one does not forgo style, whether walking the sidewalks or the red carpet. Or making the case for straight off the runway Gucci at the airport. Simple, side-parted hair and a paparazzi-blocking pair of black sunglasses completed the casual-cool look, which included a pop of color in the form of baby Luna’s little Mary-Jane-clad feet: The tiny tot’s sparkling pink shoes can be seen poking sweetly from the stroller. Legend, whose casual-dad-on-the-street style included a nondescript bomber jacket and faded blue jeans, stayed close, guiding the stroller over curbs as the family navigated the city.

Later in the day, the mom went full model, changing into a short, shimmering pearl white Mestiza dress to attend the Rainbow Crow premiere party. The $1,695 Laura Bell minidress, which, according to the brand’s website, was originally designed for Mestiza co-founder Louisa Rechter’s rehearsal dinner, is wrapped with dramatic, sparkling rose gold embellishments.

Chrissy makes it her own with simple, strappy sandals and a corsage — it is promposal season, after all — presented to her (and copiously Snapchatted) before their night out by her now rather infamously doting husband.

Prom king and queen for life, these two.
