Chrissy Teigen Shares Adorably Messy Pictures of Her Home Life & It Shows How Close Her 4 Kids Are
Maintaining a clean house as a parent is overrated. Toys on the floor, sticky tabletops, paint-splattered clothes — those are the signs of life and happy children. And unlike the picture-perfect homes we usually see on social media, Chrissy Teigen is embracing the messiness. She just shared a bunch of new pictures of her four kids, who she shares with husband John Legend, and it’s such a sweet (and normal!) look at home life that proves how close their family is.

“busy ??????s!!!! ready for fall weather, please lord!!” Teigen captioned the post on Instagram. In the first picture, she smiles with her 6-year-old son Miles, both wearing lobster bibs as they dine at a restaurant together. Esti, 19 months, is also at the lobster restaurant, but she has a plate full of noodles instead. She’s digging into the pasta with both hands, not a care in the world!

Slide 3 shows how much the Cravings author truly does not mind messy kids. Esti is wearing an adorable floral dress with pink sandals and a purple bow, while Wren, 13 months, has a man bun and a gray romper. Both are painting on a large blue tarp on the floor, Esti with a paintbrush and a plate full of colors and Wren with just his hands. There’s paint all over the tarp, the kids, and, yes, even the hardwood floor itself.
If you thought that is unhinged, in another slide, Teigen and Esti paint on the white couch. To be fair, this is Teigen’s set up, with a little tray set up with the pants, water wipes, and paintbrushes. But still — my anxiety would be way too high to try this at home!
Other photos in the carousel include Esti playing with bubbles outside, dressed in the cutest pink bikini with pink heart-shaped goggles; Esti and Wren riding in a toy firetruck; and Luna, 8, and Esti cuddling with a blanket on the couch together. There’s so much love and fun packed into these pictures, you can tell these kids are living their best lives.
“You are the best mother! I love how you and John are always doing something fun and creative with your little ones,” one person commented. “You are an inspiring couple, in many ways. Thank you for your activism, contributions and positive spirits! ??”
Someone else wrote, “Such a beautiful family. You can tell they are loved!????”
In an interview with PEOPLE earlier this month, Legend revealed that he and Teigen are “more relaxed” as parents now. “We are definitely more relaxed in general, so we’re not as stressed,” the “All of Me” singer said. “Even though you still have to do the work, none of it is as intimidating or worrying as it used to be. You’re not nervous about it. You’re like, ‘I got this.'” (That definitely explains the paint on the floor!)
“They’re so cute and interesting, and it’s so interesting to see their personalities develop, but it is truly nonstop,” he added. “You’ve got to watch them every second. They’re both walking now, so it’s more trouble for them to get into. It requires all hands on deck.”
