Chrissy Teigen shares new photo of baby Miles in honor of his due date — 3 weeks after his birth

Seasoned moms will be the first to tell you that due dates are never guaranteed and birth plans can often go right out the window.

It’s no surprise then that so many mothers are relating to Chrissy Teigen‘s latest Instagram post. She welcomed son Miles — her second child with husband John Legend, with whom she also has a 2-year-old daughter, Luna — three weeks before his due date.

If things had gone strictly according to plan, the little bundle of joy would be arriving this week. Instead, he’s a 3-week-old infant who has already made himself at home.

In honor of what was meant to be his date of birth, supermodel Teigen, who is also a cookbook author, has shared a sweet photo of the newborn sleeping on her stomach and getting some much-needed skin-to-skin contact.

The post prompted many moms who had experienced similar situations to share their own experiences of delivering their babies — who can often be covered in a soft, downy hair called lanugo — early.

“My son came three weeks early too!!” one wrote. “Just three extra weeks we get to snuggle them!”

“My son and my daughter were both premies (born 31 weeks and 26 weeks) and both were furry babies,” another fan noted.

“My little man was also three weeks early and had the cutest shoulder fuzz!!” read another comment.
