Christina Aguilera Turns Back Time as She Transforms Into Cher for Halloween

Cher, Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera turned heads (and time) with her Halloween costume, which paid homage to her former co-star and legendary singer Cher.

The 42-year-old pop star perfectly recreated Cher's Burlesque look, sharing a few images and even a video of herself acting as the "Strong Enough" songstress online.

The "Genie in a Bottle" singer didn't just recreate one of Cher's very memorable ensembles, but three! The first was a flirty black leather bodysuit outfitted with silver chains. Her second ensemble was even more sultry, showing the singer posing in a spaghetti-strap leather floor-length dress. And the last was just as cheeky, with Aguilera sporting a sheer body-hugging catsuit and layering a black leather jacket over it.

Aguilera sweetly shouted out the icon alongside a series of 10 images of herself posing as Cher, 77, writing in the caption, "On my favorite day of the year it's only right to turn back time and tribute the OG trailblazer @cher. Cher's message through her music and style has left a permanent mark on the world and to this day, I still can't believe I had the opportunity to work with such a legend!!!!"

Aguilera continued, "No one could ever fill the shoes of the great & powerful Cher. The love and respect I have for you is endless ????."

She also uploaded a short video lip-syncing a clip from the film, in which Aguilera's character–Ali–asks, "Which one do you want to see?" In response, Aguilera–now dressed as Cher's character, Tess Scali–turns around and says she'd like to see "Wagon Wheel Watusi."

"Tess & Ali 4EVER ??????," she added in the caption of her Instagram Reel, referencing her and Cher’s characters in their 2010 film.

Aguilera's entire production was applauded by fans who simply couldn't believe their eyes.

"Queen," cheered Jersey Shore's Snooki, while singer-songwriter Betty Who exclaimed, "I AM OBSESSED."

"THIS IS THE MULTIVERSE WE NEEDED QUEEN! ?????????," a third joked.

Though Cher herself has yet to respond to the posts, we're pretty positive she'll be just as impressed as the rest of the crowd was.
