Hot deal! The most comfortable (and stylish!) Clarks shoes are on sale for a limited time
Leonardo da Vinci called the foot a “masterpiece of engineering and a work of art” — a dramatic description, to be sure, but an ode to one part of the human body we should all be taking care of nonetheless.
This “masterpiece” is contorted, confined, laced up and squeezed into contraptions that we see more as the work of art da Vinci was speaking of, often leaving our real prized pieces (our feet) aching in pain.
It’s no wonder that this paradigm exists — with beauty comes pain — but what if one piece of art could be uplifted, rather than deflated, with another?
Enter: Clarks shoes.
Shoemakers since the 1800’s, Clarks has evolved from creating slippers for common folk to designing a plethora of footwear so vast that the designs could fill the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel (Ok, maybe we are being dramatic, too).
Nonetheless, Clarks shoes are really comfortable, and they don’t sacrifice style for comfort.
“Understanding the demands of a busy life, we have combined innovative technologies with the latest designs to create shoes that look good and feel even better,” says a description on the brand’s site.
These technologies include underfoot cushioning, a state-of-the-art iPad foot gauge and lots of prototyping with 3-D printing, per Clarks’ site. The huge amount of work put into the development process is all for the sake of creating a supportive, versatile shoe for consumers like you and me.
Anatomically directed cushions are placed in all shoes to support the biomechanics of walking, the brand says, and these cushions shape to the foot’s design to keep comfort throughout the day.
What’s more, open-cell structure in the shoe’s footbed allows for a breathability and moisture-wicking capability that so often is left behind when it comes to shoes.
Also, there’s specific technology developed to absorb any pressure (on the bottom and sides of the shoe) felt while moving.

Un Adorn Zip
Promising review: “I bought these a while ago because I needed a professional shoe for work but that is also comfortable. Went into the store on a whim and tried on a different pair that didn't work. Then I saw these and first dismissed them then decided they're for work why not... Best decision I ever made. These are extremely comfortable and supportive. Now I see the additional colors hmm lol.”

Clarks Vargo Apron
Promising review: “I wear heavy steel toed work boots in the field for my job, but spend half my day in the office in a business casual setting. I wanted a boot that would be at home in my office, but that could be quickly swapped with my work boots when I change location. These boots were just the thing. They look classic. They are comfortable. I even wear them on the weekends when I am out with my wife and kids. Very happy with these boots.”

Clarks Deva Heidi
Promising review: “Best shoe I ever had so I purchased it twice! I attended a graduation ceremony on the lawn which discolored the shoe a bit so I ordered them again, and in navy too, because they are beautiful and super comfortable.”

Un Coast Form
Promising review: “To be honest, I bought this shoe because it was one of the few available in WIDE width. Now that I have them, I like them a lot and would highly recommend them. I'd like to see more shoes in WIDE widths. Those few that are offered are often sold out. Let's get more WIDES on line and in the store!! That's where the real comfort is!!”

Clarks Gracelin Maze
Promising review: “I bought these for my mother. She was so happy to receive these that fit her small feet perfectly. The color is very versatile in matching with many different color schemes, and they are comfortable as well. She is very pleased with the gift and I would definitely recommend these to others.”

Clarks Un Rio Cross
Promising review: “I love, love, love the way these feel. I have a very comfortable and broken in pair of New Balance tennies that I am tired of looking so shlumpy in, so I ordered these as an alternative for casual jeans, pants, skirts, t-shirt dress type of outfits. They perfectly fit the bill! I have wider feet, one of which is wider than the other due to a healed complicated break, I have plantar fasciitis, and I'm recovering from back surgery. All that adds up to a real need for comfortable shoes. I'm not old enough to strap into velcro closures yet, nor am I ready for that! These shoes will provide the comfort and stability I need for casual wear, yet are more classy and stylish than tennies, and I'm so happy to have them!”
Shop it: Clarks Un Rio Cross, $91 (Was $130), Zappos.com
Clarks Flow Plain
Promising review: “Bought these today, been wearing ever since. Very smart looking and extremely comfortable. Would recommend.”
Shop it: Clarks Flow Plain, $58 (Was $120), Zappos.com
Clarks Juliet Petra
Promising review: “This shoe is attractive and comfortable — a rare combination. And even though it is flat, it doesn't look dowdy. This means it will be versatile — I can wear it with pants, jeans, dresses, and skirts. I got them in pewter, which is a great neutral color — sometimes it looks gold and sometimes it looks silver.”
