Corning Tuesday Night Market kicks off April 2
Opening day for the third season of the Corning Tuesday Night Market is 5-8p.m., April 2 in historic downtown on Solano Street between Third and Sixth streets.
“This collaboration between the City of Corning and the Corning Chamber of Commerce has been a resounding success,” said Marie Brayman, Chamber manager. “We're looking forward to having the community join us for more good food, a great variety of unique handmade items, popular direct sales goods, music, performance, kid's activities and great information from many community service groups offering information on their programs.”
Starting at 5 p.m., the event will once again feature live music by Irish Cement, sponsored by the City of Corning, and the Rotary Club’s Beer and Wine Garden inside Rodgers Theatre.
New this year will be performances by the Jr. Cardettes Drill Team and the "Lights, Camera, Dance" group.
Children will be able to enjoy the Kids' Zone featuring a bounce house and slide sponsored by the City of Corning, and "make it 'n take it" craft, which this month will be a handprint butterfly sponsored by the City of Corning Recreation
Dates for the Tuesday Night Market this season are May 7, June 4, Sept 3 and October 1.
“New vendors welcome,” Brayman said. “There is no booth fee, however, everyone does need to have their California seller's permit, and any other licenses applicable to their products.”
Food vendors need to obtain a Temporary Mobile Permit from Tehama County Environmental Health.
