The Costco Salad Dressing Fans 'Wish They Had Found Sooner'

The Internet giveth and the Internet taketh away. But when it comes to hot Costco tips, it usually giveths. Take a recent Reddit thread, where one poster thanked the folks who preached the gospel of Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing & Marinade.

"[The] deep roasted sesame dressing & marinade may be the best recommendation the subreddit has given me to try," wrote u/punk1npumpk1n in the Costco subreddit."I use it on so many different things, and I wish I had found it sooner!"

In the post, the Redditor shared a photo of the dressing, which some people believe is Costco's best condiment. It's boldly flavored with a deeply roasted sesame flavor and tastes like something you'd find at a restaurant.

"We've gone through two bottles so far," said a commenter.

"This might be the most addicting thing at Costco. [I] started putting it on everything," said another.

"Any recommendations for what you use it for?" asked someone else.

Reddit delivered — with solidarity and tips for using the marinade.

Some shared that they keep things...simple and shameless.

"I could drink it," wrote one.

"I must confess that on occasion, I get up from my desk, walk to the fridge, stick my finger in the dressing for a little taste and return to my seat," said another. "It is so addicting I fear I cannot repurchase."

If you're able to not eat it straight, other Redditors had some other ways to use the tasty dressing.

6 Great Ways Redditors Use Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing

There were some solid recipe ideas sprinkled throughout the 100+ comments. Here are some you might want to try in your kitchen.

1. Chicken thigh crock pot surprise: One Redditor combined half a bottle of the dressing a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, four ounces of apricot jelly, and two sleeves of boneless skinless chicken thighs (presumably also from Costco) in a crockpot. "Cook until [the] chicken is falling apart," the Redditor advised. "Put [the] chicken in a skillet on medium heat with sauce and reduce. Sprinkle [the] sesame seeds and green onions over when finished. Welcome to your new favorite chicken."

2. Wonton snack: "Someone on here suggested this dressing over top of the cilantro chicken wontons (frozen section)," said one person, likely referring to Costco's Bibigo Chicken & Cilantro Mini Wontons. "I pop some in the air fryer and lightly crisp them on each side and toss them in some of this and O.M.G."

"Might have been me! Don’t forget the chili crisp," responded one person. (It was that person — this thread is the best of Reddit, truly.)

3. Sesame dressing chicken and rice: "Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken chunks and rice — put this stuff on top and thank me later," suggested another.

4. Cucumber salad: One Redditor loves making a crushed cucumber salad with it.  "You only need a little bit of dressing — so refreshing,"  the person said.

5. Orzo add-on: "Put it on the Mediterranean orzo salad," said another.

6. The Broccoli Business: This idea wins the thread, by the recipe name alone. "I cut up raw broccoli and add mild Italian sausage slices, caramelized onions, bacon lardons and crushed macadamias," wrote one commenter. "Mix it all up with some of this dressing. I call it the broccoli business."
