“Employees were walking back and forth with a cart full of hot pizzas and selling in the checkout lines,” noted the author of the Reddit post. “I think it’s a brilliant idea!” Members of the popular subreddit quickly chimed in with their opinions, desperately searching for more context to the unusual checkout line development.

“This is a terrible idea, I hope mine starts doing it,” one user joked. Another experienced Costco shopper chimed in to offer some insight into the discovery. “Hawking is effective especially when lines are long,” they said. “Was the food court packed when you saw this?” The author of the post then confirmed that, in fact, “the whole warehouse was super crowded” at the time their post was made.

As it seems, some locations that experience higher than normal traffic may turn to alternative options for successfully selling. If lines are long in the food court, there is a chance they’ll send someone with a cart to the checkout lines to help sell through the food. Honestly, how could you turn down a fresh, hot pizza after waiting in a long line? There's really nothing like the aroma of a pepperoni pizza to help you forget the annoyances of shopping, am I right?
