Cracker Barrel Launches Goo Goo Cluster Latte
Coffee and chocolate, two of life's sweetest treasures, are coming together for an incredible new treat. Cracker Barrel just launched a Goo Goo Cluster latte, which is inspired by the nostalgic candy bar of the same name.
According to a news release, the beverage "is a blend of rich espresso and steamed milk combined with classic caramel, milk chocolate, peanut, and nougat flavors." The drink is topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and crushed up Goo Goo Clusters.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Goo Goo Cluster, the circular-shaped confectionary has been around since 1912. The milk chocolate bar is a mash-up of marshmallow nougat, caramel, and peanuts and was first made in Nashville. Cracker Barrel's Vice President of Culinary and Menu Strategy, Cammie Spillyards-Schaefer, thinks the candy bar and her company are a perfect fit. "Part of the unique Cracker Barrel experience our guests love is rediscovering nostalgic candies that remind them of their childhood, so the well-loved Goo Goo Cluster holds a special place on our shelves," she said in a release.
The Goo Goo Cluster latte is joining Cracker Barrel's Crafted Coffee menu, which also includes a mocha latte, a vanilla latte, and caramel latte. All of the coffee concoctions can be enjoyed hot or cold, and start at $3.29. The company also notes it plans to add more seasonal lattes to its menu. How many days until Christmas?!
