Demi Lovato Is Celebrating Six Months of Sobriety
Demi Lovato is officially six months sober and the world couldn't be happier for her. The singer has clearly been making important strides in her health since her hospitalization for an apparent drug overdose last July, and she's celebrating with a well-deserved anniversary dessert.
Lovato posted the below shot to her Instagram story last night, which shows a truly Insta-worthy slice of cake gifted to her by "Team DL."
"Happy 6 mo. We are so fucking proud of you! Love, Team DL," the card reads. Lovato also shared this photo of her six month sobriety coin (coins are often given out as part of official sobriety programs when participants reach landmark sobriety anniversaries). Lovato calls this one, six months, the "best day ever."
Lovato has been keeping a fairly low profile as of late, but the singer appears to be very happy and very healthy. She recently attended one of her close friends' weddings as a bridesmaid, has been sticking to a regular fitness routine, and is nominated for a Grammy-Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song "Fall in Line" with Christina Aguilera.
