Demi Lovato Has Reportedly Agreed to Go to Rehab After Being Released from the Hospital
Demi Lovato is entering rehab and she's going sooner than we think.
According to TMZ, Demi has been spending several extra days in the hospital after getting sick after her overdose. She was sent to the hospital early last week after overdosing on an unknown drug. Demi previously revealed that she broke her sobriety when she released her song "Sober."
Demi's family ended up waiting an extra couple of days to ask her to go to rehab, so they wouldn't upset her and make her feel worse.
"Demi wasn’t doing well over the weekend, "a source told People. "She came down with a fever and showed signs of an infection. She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. She will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery."
TMZ also says that the situation has gotten so bad that members of her team have talked about leaving if she decided not to go.
"She's getting out any day now," a source told TMZ. After being discharged from the hospital, Demi will be going straight to rehab. The facility that she will be going to is still unknown.
Demi previously lived in a sober house in 2013. She also entered rehab in October of 2010 and stayed there until January 2011.
"Since I went to treatment, there have been days when it's felt really easy, and I've felt great about where I am. But then I have moments when it's not. That's life," she said in Seventeen's 2014 August issue. "You can't just take your mind and your body into the shop and get it fixed. It doesn't come out repaired. It's not like a car. It takes time-pace yourself. Every day is a new opportunity to change your life and be who you want to be."
