Demi Lovato Is Reportedly in the Hospital Due to a Heroin Overdose
Demi Lovato is reportedly in the hospital due to a heroin overdose, TMZ is reporting. The singer was allegedly rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles, a law enforcement source told the outlet.
She was transported just before noon on Tuesday from her home in the Hollywood Hills. Her current condition is unknown.
She has suffered with substance abuse for years. Demi had recently confirmed a relapse in her song "Sober" where she sang to her mother that she was sorry for not being sober anymore.
“Momma I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And Daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor,” Lovato sings in the chorus. “To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”
"I’m sorry for the fans I lost, who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human." Though, she does reassure both her fans and herself that she will seek help: "I’m sorry that I’m here again / I promise I’ll get help / It wasn’t my intention / I’m sorry to myself."
