Demi Moore Pens Touching Birthday Tribute to Daughter Rumer
Demi Moore is celebrating a special day for her first-born daughter Rumer Willis, who turned 35 on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Rumer is the eldest daughter of Demi and her former husband Bruce Willis, along with their two other children, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29.
But it was all about Rumer on Wednesday, as the Ghost actress, 60, shared a tribute post on Instagram to commemorate the big day and look back on some precious moments shared with her firstborn.
"My life changed the day you were born," Demi wrote to her now 35-year-old, while starting off her Instagram carousel with an old birthday photo from when Rumer was just a little girl.
"You brought a depth, meaning, and purpose to my existence along with an understanding of love that I had never known," the proud mom continued, while going on to celebrate Rumer becoming a first-time mom herself this year.
"Now here you are my baby, with your own baby, bringing even greater meaning, magic, and love into all of our lives," Demi wrote in reference to baby Louetta, whom Rumer welcomed with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas back in April.
The post showcased all three generations of Moore-Willis women in the post, with Demi including a cuddly selfie of herself laying next to Rumer while cradling her infant granddaughter. (Her dog Pilaf was also present for the snuggle session as well, of course.)
Another one of the pics captured an intimate moment from Rumer's home birth, where her mom held on to her and supported her through the whole process.
"So proud of you," Demi also wrote in her birthday tribute, before concluding, "Happy Birthday Ru! Happy New Year! Happy Celebration of Life!I Love You!"
Rumer responded to her mom's post with a sweet message in the comments, which read, "Oh mama ???? I love you so."
"Knowing what it takes to help bring a soul into this world gives it a whole new meaning for me," the new mom gushed. "I always thought this was my day but I know now it has always been ours. Happy birthday mama."
"Omg I’m weeepis!!! This is the most tender," wrote Rumer's sister Tallulah in the comments.
"Rumer….Happy Birthday," added Rita Wilson. "Always so kind, present, honest. Have the best day! ????????."
