All the Details on the Next 'John Wick' Spinoff, 'Ballerina'

The John Wick universe is expanding, but this time it’s focusing on someone other than the eponymous assassin.

Ballerina will pick up after the events of the third John Wick movie, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), and chronicle the journey of a female assassin portrayed by Ana de Armas. Action, intrigue and plenty of fast-paced fight scenes are expected in the forthcoming production, which finished principal filming earlier this year.

In January, de Armas shared that the movie was four months into an intense five month filming block in Prague. “And I’m in pain,” she jokingly said during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, citing the intense stunts. “You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I’m complaining, I’m sore, I’m bruised.”

All of de Armas’ hard work is expected to pay off less than a year from now when Ballerina comes to the big screen. From plot details to exciting cameos, here is everything you need to know about Ballerina.
