Disney's New Briar Rose Gold Unicorn Cupcake Is What Instagram Dreams Are Made Of
The inspiration behind Disney's new Briar Rose Gold Unicorn cupcake was simple: A little Sleeping Beauty magic + a little internet craze = dessert gold. In order to do that, though, there are a lot of moving parts.
First, chefs core out the center of the cupcake to create a hole to fill with buttercream. What kind of buttercream, you ask? Pink strawberry buttercream, of course! That's not to be confused for the light pink buttercream that comes shortly after, but we'll get there.
Rosettes are then piped around the cupcake base in both strawberry flavors, but also in vanilla buttercream as well. Before piping is complete, a mini waffle cone is inserted into the center of the cake upside down so you can get the titular unicorn vibes.
Finally, delicate gold crisp pearls are scattered around the frosting and gold luster-dusted milk chocolate Minnie ears are placed. Can you belieeeeeeeve?
The Briar Rose Gold Unicorn cupcake is available from now until May 4 at Disney All-Star Resorts.
Lest you thought that was all, though: Disney is also rolling out a Mother's Day-specific cupcake called "Peace & Quiet." It is gorgeous and delightful and "what every mother wants," a Disney chef tells me.
You've got a more limited window for that one-it'll appear in the resorts from May 9 to May 13th. You know. Mother's Day!
