The Dispatch Monthly Mailbag with Steve Hayes

Dear Dispatch readers,

Thank you to everyone who participated in May’s Monthly Mailbag with Grayson Logue, deputy editor of The Morning Dispatch. To read more about his new dog, his love of history (and historiography), his take on the PGA/LIV merger, and his favorite cocktail recipes, be sure to click here.

This month, our fearless leader, Steve Hayes, has raised his hand to take on all of your questions.

We’re guessing he doesn’t need much of an introduction, but just in case: Steve co-founded The Dispatch in 2019 after a lengthy tenure at The Weekly Standard that culminated in him being named editor-in-chief in 2016. He was a Fox News contributor for more than a decade, and now a regular contributor at NBC News.

As you’re thinking about questions you have for Steve, here are some suggested topics:

  • Why he moved to Spain with his family for a year;

  • The top artists on his Apple Music playlists;

  • His specialties on the grill (or grilled cheese for kids);

  • Growing up in Wisconsin and why Door County is the best;

  • His youth athletic career;

  • Highs and lows of 12 years at Fox News;

  • The most annoying aspect of working with Jonah; and

  • Spanish wine, of course.

Drop your questions for Steve in the comments section on this post, and keep an eye out for an email with all of his answers at the end of the month!
