It’s a Double Steal and a Save! Who Went Home and Who Made It Through Tonight on 'The Voice' Knockouts
Tanner Massey, Rudi, Chechi Sarai
The second night of The Voice season 24 Knockouts picked up where the first night ended with Mara Justine having to pick her new coach. She had been on Team Legend, but when John Legend selected Kaylee Shimizu as the winner of the three-way Knockout, both Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan hit their Save button for Mara. In the end, Mara chose Team Niall as her new home.

Then the competition continued with more three-way Knockouts from Team Legend, Team Gwen, Team Niall, and Team Reba McEntire, who each got help from this year’s Mega Mentor Wynonna Judd to prepare their artists.
But there was a fly in the ointment. Due to his concert schedule, Niall was unable to make rehearsals for the Knockouts and next season’s new coaches Dan + Shay stepped in to work with his artists. But he did make it back in time for the performances.
This year’s Knockouts are three-ways with each of the artists picking their own songs. Then each coach can only put through one of their artists. That said, they each have a Steal and a Save.
The winners of the Knockout Rounds will move on to the Playoffs.

Knockout Round No. 2: Tanner Massey vs Chechi Sarai vs Rudi from Team Gwen
Songs:
Tanner: “In My Blood” by Shawn Mendes
Chechi: “Never Can Say Goodbye” by The Jackson Five
Rudi: “Smokin Out the Window” by Silk Sonic

Gwen said: “Tanner has a lot of dynamics and he has a very cool rasp. He’s super young but he’s able to channel the emotional songs flawlessly. I think he’s really special. I feel Niall really messed up when he let go of Tanner.”
Save: Rudi
Gwen hit her Save button for Rudi and Reba and John both hit their Steal Buttons. Rudi chose to stick with Gwen.
Gwen won her back by saying, “Focus, Rudi. Do not look anywhere else but straight at your coach. I am your coach. I am your favorite. What did I say? I said, ‘There is a plan. I have a plan.’ I feel like if you go with anyone else, I will die. We are going to do this.”
Then after Rudi made her decision, Gwen said, “You can be mad at me. It’s a family here. You have to save one to save another.”
The Knockouts will continue next week on The Voice on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
