Drake Is the Latest Star to be Hit With Flying Object on Stage

There seems to be something in the water at concert venues in recent weeks, as a number of celebrity performers have found themselves getting hit with objects thrown on stage by fans.

The latest victim of this strange and potentially dangerous concert behavior is Drake, who was hit with a cell phone that was chucked at him from the audience during a show this week.

The "God's Plan" rapper was performing in Chicago as part of his It's All a Blur Tour on Wednesday, July 5, when one concertgoer decided to whip their phone on the stage, hitting Drake in the wrist.

As seen in footage of the incident shared to TikTok by user @jordyntaylor28, the 36-year-old entertainer remained calm and didn't seem to be visibly bothered by the phone being whipped at him, though he did look down at his arm after, seemingly checking for damage.

"He was like wtf lol" the TikTok creator who captured the moment on video wrote in the caption of their post.

"He said you broke my nail ???? ?????????♂??????♂?" someone else quipped in the comments.

"The fact that he didn’t get angry at the audience and continued his performance, thanks for not letting one dummy ruin the show drake hahaha" another person chimed in.

But while Drake may not have caused a scene over the incident, his fans definitely didn't brush off the situation so easily, with some pointing out how dangerous this type of concert etiquette—or lack thereof—is as it could not only injure the performer but also change the rules for concerts moving forward.

"Why would they do that people are so annoying," one person wrote under the post.

"the fans these days are gonna get shows canceled," added another.

Drake's run-in with flying objects might be the latest onstage incident, but it definitely isn't the strangest, as one audience member at a Pink concert recently threw a bag of their mom's ashes on stage. Understandably, the "Try" songstress had no clue how to respond.

Kelsea Ballerini was also involved in an alarming situation at one of her shows last week, after she was hit in the face with a flying item suspected to be a bracelet, forcing her to temporarily halt the show altogether.

She returned shortly after, giving her fans a little speech about keeping everyone safe during her concerts.
