If there’s one woman in music whose voice has stood out during the #MeToo movement this year, it’s Kesha. After she alleged being “sexually, physically, and verbally” abused by her producer Dr. Luke, the pop star turned her tragedy into triumph with a new album, Rainbow. She landed two Grammy nominations in the pop music categories for her music. While everyone knows how powerful her song “Praying” is, there’s another song on her album that’s an ultimate lady anthem. Alessia Cara is known for sharing powerful messages of self-love through her music. This year she finally landed a nomination for Best New Artist. Lorde’s pop comeback earned her a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Her song “Green Light” is about heartbreak, yet it makes you want to dance. There is something so empowering and beautiful about dancing through the pain. The album celebrates being a young woman, and our favorite lines from the song are:

Though she didn’t received any Grammy nominations this year, Demi Lovato still had a killer year. Her song “Sorry Not Sorry” was an anthem for so many strong, independent women. The most iconic lyrics:
