People reports that yes, it may seem that Katherine and Chris are getting married pretty fast: they haven't even dated for a year. But their relationship is different than most. “For someone on the outside, it might seem their engagement came too quickly,” a source told the outlet. “But for everyone close to them, it feels like they have been dating much longer than they actually have. They never had a typical relationship. It very much helped that Chris already knew Maria [Shriver, Katherine's mom]. They didn’t have to take things slowly because they were getting to know each other’s families. Katherine’s family instantly treated Chris like a family member.”
The outlet also reported that Katherine and Chris just moved in together in the Santa Monica area-and close to his ex-wife Anna Faris, as Chris and Anna's settlement dictates they live within 5 miles of each other for their son Jack. Faris also moved to the west Los Angeles area. E! reports that Katherine and Chris are already planning what they hope will be a summer wedding in Martha's Vineyard. "They are thinking about Martha's Vineyard which is a special place for Katherine and where she spent a lot of time growing up," a source told the outlet. "Chris wants her to have her perfect day and whatever she wants. It will be a big wedding and very traditional." Also, a second source told E! it'll be a lavish wedding. There "will be no expense spared."
People reported earlier this week that religion brought these two together, and they'll have a religious ceremony. “They click on a lot of levels, but definitely on a spiritual level,” a source explained. “They have the same outlook on the world, and their faith ties them together.
