Fall for Denim: Stylist Dani Michelle Toasts Joe’s Jeans Collaboration at San Vicente Bungalows
Denim filled the room at San Vicente Bungalows’ cozy dining space, a book-lined interior with a burning fireplace, where Joe’s Jeans celebrated its collaboration with stylist Dani Michelle Wednesday night in West Hollywood.
“I’ve always been a denim girl,” said Michelle during the cocktail hour, as guests sipped on dirty martinis and margaritas. Known for her feminine yet edgy aesthetic, mixing high-fashion elements and laid-back street style with layered textures, Michelle has worked her styling magic on Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Behati Prinsloo and Maren Morris to name a few.

“There’s this effortless cool factor when denim is in play,” she went on. “And I love when you style something fancy, whether it’s a great heel or top, and throw on a pair of jeans. The juxtaposition, it’s a perfect mix.”
Everyone at the party — Brooks Nader, Deepika Chopra, Jamie Chung, Stassi Schroeder, Kate Foley Osterweis and Rebecca Ramsey — wore the new fall line, including baggy, slim and boot-cut jeans paired with oversize boyfriend-style button downs or cardigans, mixed with long beige trenches, long chestnut brown coats and fitted black leather jackets.
It’s a selection of basics, priced between $178 and $798, that feel of the moment and weather-appropriate for fall in Los Angeles. Temperatures had finally dropped that evening, hitting 64 degrees. Naturally, it was a topic of conversation.
“I had my seat warmers on while driving over here,” said Ramsey, a fellow stylist.
“It’s finally fall,” smiled Osterweis.
“I have to say, I love the cold,” Schroeder said. “We need the seasons.”
“I started with long jackets because of fall, and now we’ll start to move [into other pieces] bit by bit,” Michelle said of the collection, which includes leather trousers, as she admired the women in the looks.
Michelle has been overseeing creative direction for social content, website design and photography at Joe’s Jeans, which is part of Centric Brands’ portfolio. She’ll continue to collaborate with the design team, leaning into seasonal trends for upcoming collections. Blazers are on the way, she revealed.
“This is the first collection that I’ve rolled out with pieces that I put into production,” she added. While she’s collaborated with other brands in the past, it has been a new experience designing apparel from beginning to end as creative director. “It’s the first time that pieces that I have curated have come to sale.”
