The Fan-Favorite Aldi Snack That Everyone Can Agree On

Salsa and gooey cheese are go-to dips for chips and pretzels, but in recent years hummus has been coming on strong in the snack category. The nutty, chickpea-and-tahini-based dip is a great go-with for veggie plates, grazing boards, girl dinners or just as a couch snack paired with a bag of pita chips.

Classic hummus is great, but there's now a world of flavored hummus to explore. Roasted red pepper, jalape?o, chili crisp and roasted garlic hummus have all entered the snack chat. But it's possible not everyone in your house is aligned on their favorite hummus flavor.

Luckily, Aldi has a solve for this snacking conundrum. The Aldi Hummus Quartet gives you four options under one lid — a Bento box of heavenly hummus options, if you will (and we certainly will). We heard about the product from a new Aldi shopper, who is equal parts grateful and impressed.

"This is… the smartest thing ever," wrote u/gigixoxo333 in the Aldi subreddit.

In the post, the Redditor shared a snap of the Aldi hummus quartet, which includes the classic, roasted red pepper, roasted garlic and the cult-favorite cilantro jalape?o.

Fans weighed in with their rave reviews (and ideas for making the Aldi hummus quartet even better).

"Welcome to the magical land of Aldi," said one commenter. "[I] hope you got the bag of sweet mini peppers to go with the hummus."

"This was my first ever Aldi purchase and 100% had me sold," said another one-time newcomer to the Aldi scene.

"I keep one on hand at all times now," said a mega-fan. "For me, different flavors are better depending on what you're dipping."

Football season kicked off last week, and the hummus quartet is clearly on some Aldi shoppers' roster for gameday must-haves.

"This is always perfect for lowkey parties/football watching," said a hummus quartet cheerleader. "Everyone loves a good hummus mix."

Ain't that the truth?

Of course, it's the Internet in the year 2023, so not everyone is completely satisfied with this genius hummus quartet courtesy of Aldi. Some people in the chickpea(nut) gallery offered some advice to the powers that be at the grocery chain.

"It would be smarter if you could open each flavor individually rather than having to open the entire thing at once," said one fan.

The original poster respectfully disagreed.

"Fair enough," the person said. "Personally, I like to always have variety when I eat in general, so I wanted them all open either way. I get what you’re saying, though."

While having options for hummus flavors, some posters really want one choice: The cilantro jalape?o has a massive following at Aldi for its slightly citrusy, sort-of spicy taste.

"This is very good, but the fact that you can’t buy cilantro jalape?o on its own is a crime," one person wrote.

Later, in the comments, another agreed.

"I love this thing, but please, Aldi, Please let me buy the jalape?o cilantro one on its own," begged another.

A shopper can dream.
