Fan-Favorite Taco Bell Item From the '70s Reportedly Making a Return

It looks like old-timer Taco Bell fans are in luck! A fan-favorite item from decades past is reportedly making its way back onto the menu in yet another switch up.

Fans' prayers have been answered, as the food chain's famous Enchirito is believed to be making a comeback, along with a few other nostalgic menu items.

The Enchirito, a vintage Taco Bell item that dates all the way back to the 1970s, features a soft flour tortilla filled with seasoned beef, beans, and diced onions, before its rolled up and topped with red sauce and shredded cheddar cheese. It was initially discontinued in 2013, and fans have been patiently awaiting its triumphant return ever since.

The restaurant previously brought back the beloved menu item for a limited time back in November 2022, and it appears that another return is in the very near future.

Taylor Montgomery, the chain's Chief Marketing Officer, personally confirmed the news earlier this week, after he accepted fan submission questions in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).

"The Enchirito was amazing," one fan asked in the Reddit threat. "I'd order it if it was still available. Does anyone else remember this gem?"

Montgomery responded, telling the fan, "can confirm publicly for the first time that it will be back very soon for a limited time."

But even with the good news in mind, some fans were still left wanting more, as many wondered why the item would only be returning for a limited time.

"If the Enchirito is so great and beloved, and IT IS, then why bring it back on a limited basis? Don't get me wrong; I'm glad it's coming back, but why not permanently?" one fan asked, though their comment never received a response.

But on the bright side, Montgomery did hint at other more exciting menu updates at Taco Bell, teasing that they will be "mixing up our menu, and bringing back nostalgic favorites."
