Fans Are Divided Over Martha Stewart's "Tone Deaf" Addition to Her Cocktail

Whether she's appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated or sharing thirst traps on social media, if there's one thing Martha Stewart knows how to do, it's get people talking. And keep them doing so.

While her most recent handling of a fashion faux pas and her first line of pet food have gotten her a lot of attention lately (really, anything she does gets our attention!), this week, fans of the lifestyle guru were conflicted about the type of attention they wanted to give her thanks to a cocktail post on her Instagram.

"End of the first zodiac cruise from @swanhelleniccruises into a very beautiful fjord on the east coast of Greenland [sic]. We actually captured a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight," she captioned the photos. Unfortunately, not all of her followers were as charmed by the extremely local addition to her cocktail.

"I generally love Martha and the excesses of her life because [s]he's about beautiful gardens, homes, and food, but wealthy white people drinking their iceberg cocktails while the planet is in flames is a bit tone deaf," one person wrote. "Global warming and melting ice caps but we need glacier ice for cocktails?! Talk about tone def [sic]. Been a fan for years but I’ve seen enough caviar lately as I struggle to buy groceries that I’m out," said another who hinted at unfollowing the domestic diva.

While some commenters were harsh in their feedback, others who hold Martha near and dear to their hearts were a bit kinder in their responses. "Love you girl but idk if u heard yet there’s an iceberg shortage?? xoxo," wrote one person. Another politely commented, "Hope your [sic] seeing the bigger picture and can influence for the better! Our grandkids may not see icebergs..."

Martha has yet to respond to the concerns of her followers or release an official response about the use of the iceberg.
