Flavor Flav Reps Taylor Swift '1989' Merch in Stylish Red Carpet Appearance

Flavor Flav will never go out of style, as long as he remains pals with Taylor Swift.
The legendary rap star was gifted some exclusive merchandise following the pop star's 1989 (Taylor's Version) album release, and he repped the new swag while making a very fashionable red carpet appearance on Friday.
Flav—whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr.—was among the attendees at the 38th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Nov. 3, and even though Swift herself wasn't present, the Public Enemy alum still represented the "Anti-Hero" songstress at this year's prestigious event.
As seen in Instagram footage from his red carpet walk, the 64-year-old rapper dressed in one of the coveted cardigans from Swift's merchandise arsenal—a special item inspired by her song "cardigan."
Flav was wore the bright blue version of the knit sweater, a design specifically created for the 1989 album re-release. (In addition to the original Folklore era cardigan, Swift previously released other versions of the sweater for her Red (Taylor's Version) and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) album releases as well.)
Even though the retail price for the 1989 cardigan was nearly $70, Flav received his as a gift from the "Bejeweled" singer herself.
"I'm wearing this cardigan that Taylor Swift sent me," he told reporters on the red carpet Friday evening. "It's her gift to me for being a Swiftie."
The "Fight the Power" rapper knew exactly how to style the colorful garment, pairing it with white pants and a white button-up shirt underneath. Plus, he also added some extra flair with a white necktie that had Swift's album name printed on it.
He further accessorized with a sequin necklace featuring an oversized turquoise clock pendant, as well as a white hat and matching white sunglasses.
In the comment section of the Instagram footage shared by the Good Morning America account, Flav quipped, "I'm just trying to be Swift like Taylor."
