Frontier Family Park: Everything you can do at the $66 million play space in Queen Creek

It's been nearly two years since the Queen Creek Town Council voted to begin development of a $66.4 million park near Signal Butte and Queen Creek roads. Finally, Frontier Family Park opened on June 8, 2024, with a ribbon cutting and plenty of festivities.

The 85-acre Frontier Family Park has a wide variety of activities and amenities, including play areas, a fishing lake, ball fields, picnic areas and more. The park's lake will use recovered water. An aquatic center is planned to open later this year or early in 2025.

Here's everything to know about Queen Creek's Frontier Family Park.

Frontier Family Park opening date

The Frontier Family Park opened on June 8, 2024, with a ribbon cutting at 7:30 a.m. followed by family-friendly activities from 8-10 a.m.

This park has been in development since 2022 and it'll finally be open to the public just in time for summer.

“As we look to provide the number and type of amenities that our residents want, we just figured it was the time to get it all open now. So, we can get kind of caught up on just the needs for the community to play,” said Adam Robinson, Interim Director of Parks and Recreation in an interview on abc15.com.
