The Full Moon In Aries Is Here To Stir Up Some Serious Drama
On October 13, the Full Hunter's Moon in Aries is happening.
This full moon will stir up serious drama, but will also ultimately help you find balance.
The moon will affect all zodiac signs, but Aries, Libra, Capricorn, and Cancer will feel it the most.
Short of the Real Housewives stars, pretty much no one wants to have drama in their life, like, ever. But sometimes you have to wade through it in order to get to a better place where you actually feel balanced and, dare I say, peaceful.
But before you can enjoy any of that, strap yourself in, because you’re about to face a whole boatload of drama thanks to the Full Moon in Aries on October 13.
It’s called a Full Hunter’s Moon, and it’s going to push you to get through some crap before you reach a peaceful point in your life, according to Donna Page, a certified astrologer in Atlanta. Buuut there’s a little more to it than that.
Here’s what you can expect from the Full Hunter’s Moon in Aries, and how it’s going to affect your future.
What is the Full Hunter's Moon in Aries?
You already know from middle school science class (and, ya know, looking at the night sky) that the moon has different phases. Just in case you’re a little rusty on them, when the moon is full, it looks like a big, bright circle in the sky.
This particular upcoming moon is significant because it’s the first full moon that happens after the Harvest Moon (which is the closest full moon to the autumnal equinox), according to the Farmer’s Almanac. Some people believe that the moon got its name because it signaled the time to go hunting in preparation for winter.
How will this full moon in Aries impact your zodiac sign?
So…there’s a lot to unpack here. This is a "very complicated full moon," Page says, in part because it’s a time when the sun and the moon are "deeply connected" to Pluto. Pluto is all about transformation, obsession, jealousy, intensity, and passion—the big stuff...eek.
"It’s a very powerful full moon for being able to understand your emotional needs," Page says. If you have a relationship that’s out of balance, like there’s too much possessiveness, jealousy, or controlling action going down, you could break up around this time. Not your sitch? Maybe you just don't totally trust your partner, or vice versa. Whatever's going on, you'll start to wonder why you’re in this relationship and might decide that you’d rather be alone than put up with a ton of drama on the reg.
It’s not all bad romance, though. If you’re single and you meet someone around this time, your new relationship can feel really powerful and passionate—like J.Lo/A-Rod–level awesome. (Note to self: Wear the good undies on October 13.)
Plus, at the same time, you’ll focus on transforming and empowering yourself. "You really want to find balance and feel that nothing can shake you off your equilibrium," Page says. That also includes how you interact with the people around you—you’ll want to find the sweet spot of learning to cooperate with people who are worth your time and seeing those who aren’t for who they really are.
Heads up: The Full Moon in Aries will affect all zodiac signs, but Aries, Libra, Capricorn, and Cancer will feel it the most.
What does the Full Hunter's Moon in Aries mean for your future?
It kind of depends on what’s happening in your life leading up to this point. If you’re stuck in a relationship, friendship, or situation that isn’t ideal, this Full Moon may finally give you the push you need to ditch it once and for all.
If things are generally going well for you, though, you’ll find a way to make your day-to-day even better. Maybe you’ll finally nail that regular gym routine or become a meal-prep master to make weeknight dinners a breeze. As long as it makes your life easier and more balanced, go for it.
Speaking of, here's how to get some more (and, lbr, much-needed) work-life balance:
When is the next full moon?
The next full moon is on November 12, in the sign of Taurus. During this time, you’ll crave stability and learn to roll with the punches that life dishes out.
Until then, you’ve got a little drama to get through. But, hey, at least it's good to know that easier times are coming.
