Garth Brooks Reveals Sentimental Meaning Behind His First Tattoo

The country singer fulfilled a promise to his youngest daughter by getting the tattoo.

Garth Brooks made good on a promise to get his first tattoo—and there's a very special meaning behind it.

Earlier this year, the country singer revealed that he promised his daughter, Allie, that he would get a tattoo. "I owe my baby a tattoo... I owe my youngest a tattoo, and I've got to figure out what it's going to be, but it's got to be done this year in 2022," he explained in a January episode of Inside Studio G on Facebook Live.

In his most recent episode of Inside Studio G, which was posted live on Monday evening, Brooks announced that the tattoo honored the most important women in his life—his wife, Trisha Yearwood, his late mother, Colleen Carroll, and his three daughters, Allie, Taylor, and August.

And while he has yet to show off his ink, he revealed there's actually multiple tattoos.

"It's all about them being on my shoulder and around my heart and by my side," he explained during the Facebook live series. "I know my three daughters have my back and are by my side [until] I'm in the grave. But something about having them inked on your skin right here, by your side the rest of your life – pretty frickin' cool."
