Geauga County Master Gardeners plans class on container gardening

Apr. 19—Geauga County Master Gardeners announced it will hold a free class on "Container Gardening — Think Outside the Pot" from 10 a.m. to noon on May 18 at the Geauga County Extension Office in the Patterson Center, 14269 Claridon -Troy Road in Burton.

Master Gardener Volunteer Kathie Bottger will provide creative ideas intended to add whimsy, beauty and function to a garden, according to a news release. Attendees will get instructions, demos for planting, suggested plant varieties, design and color combinations.

Attendees also will learn how to keep their creations blooming throughout the entire season, and see how repurposed items even pallets and other containers become garden art, the release stated.
