Giada De Laurentiis Designed Her Own Dutch Oven And It’s Way Cheaper Than Le Creuset
If you've watched Giada De Laurentiis' hit show Giada in Italy from the beginning, you may have noticed a recurring theme in her kitchenware. The Italian chef uses Lagostina products. The brand, unsurprisingly, is one of the leading manufacturers of Italian cookware. This fall, she took her love of the brand a step further with the launch of a limited edition Giada Dutch Oven.
The four-quart, copper and silver cooking vessel "cooks my recipes as beautifully as it presents them," Giada said in a press release for the new product. It's made of stainless steel with a thick copper base, helping it to sauté, braise, slow cook, and roast meals evenly.
The lid is designed to look pretty and seal in moisture and heat. It's ideal for family cooking, too-the four-quart oven can hold large portions of risotto or soup, up to four chicken breasts, or four pounds of chuck roast. Read: It's great for one-pot meals!
Giada's Dutch Oven launch is part of a "Bring Back the Sunday Dinner" campaign, something that's been important to Giada since childhood. "Sunday dinner has been a tradition in my family since I was a kid," she wrote in an Instagram post. We'd bet she continues that tradition today with daughter Jade. You can find the Giada Dutch Oven on Amazon and Macys.com.
