'Good Trouble' Season 3 Kind of Left Us Hanging After the Spring Finale
Good Trouble fans, we have a wait ahead of us.
In mid-February, season 3 of the Freeform dramedy premiered, and since then new episodes have been airing every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET. But after 10 consecutive weeks, the show is now going on a break, which means there will not be a new episode of Good Trouble on tonight.
Last Wednesday, fans were left on the edge of their seats with the return of Mariana (Cierra Ramirez)'s former roommate Isabella (Priscilla Quintana). After burning bridges at The Coterie, Isabella stopped by one more time to let Gael (Tommy Martinez) know that she was pregnant. What’s more, Davia (Emma Hunton) was shocked to see Dennis (Josh Pence) again after she finally decided to move on.
When the spring finale episode rolled its closing credits, fans were speechless on Instagram and couldn’t believe everything that went down. “This episode had me gasping every second,” one person wrote. “Y’all are wild for this episode,” another added. “Of course, this was the spring finale ????????????,” a different person said.
When will Good Trouble season 3 return in 2021?
A date for the return of Good Trouble season 3 has yet to be announced. Whenever Good Trouble comes back though, we can only guess what’s to come. Gael will have to face the reality of becoming a father. This comes on the heels of him quitting his internship and wanting to give his relationship with Callie (Maia Mitchell) another try. While some viewers are suspicious about Isabella’s news, it sounds like Gael isn't second guessing it.
According to showrunner Joanna Johnson, the fictional aspiring artist is really in his head about all of this.
“He’s having a hard time really sort of accepting. I think he also judges himself,” she told TVLine. “He’s hard on himself. Like, why wasn’t he more careful? Why did he let this happen? How is his family going to react? He comes from a Catholic family who are pretty conservative. There are those things to think about, and how will taking responsibility for this change his life? What’s he going to have to do?”
She continued: “He is a guy who really is very conscientious and thinks about others and thinks about consequences, so he’s not some guy who’s like, ‘Oh, whatever, we’ll figure it out.’ He really takes these things seriously.”
Well, we’ve been given plenty to think about while we wait for Good Trouble to come back … hopefully soon!
