Got Pumpkin Spice Fatigue? Krispy Kreme Can Help (with Free Donuts)
Now that fall is just weeks away, an avalanche of pumpkin spice products is rolling through coffee shops and grocery stores, transforming usual food and drink items into their pumpkin-flavored alter egos. For those who love all things pumpkin and pumpkin spice, it's one of the best times of the year—and we've already got a running list of all the pumpkin products we want to sample this year. Unfortunately, they can't all be winners, and sometimes we have pumpkin spice regret. That's where Krispy Kreme comes in.

From September 2 through September 8, Krispy Kreme will help you overcome any regret you might feel after impulse-buying a PSL (that's Pumpkin Spice Letdown, in this case). Just bring the pumpkin spice product that disappointed you to one of Krispy Kreme's locations, and they'll let you trade it in exchange for a free donut. It doesn't have to be food, either—they'll take pumpkin spice candles, lotion, dog treats, you name it.
In order to exchange your PSL for a donut, you'll have to head into the lobby to show a Krispy Kreme employee your disappointing product (to keep things sanitary they can't handle your item, so the drive-thru won't work). Then, swap it for a free donut.

For your free donut, you'll have a choice between Krispy Kreme's two limited-edition pumpkin donuts (sorry to anyone who truly has pumpkin spice fatigue). First up, the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Donut is returning to the menu—it's the same as an Original Glazed Donut, made with a little extra fall spice. Second, you can also choose Krispy Kreme's newest donut for your freebie, the Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Donut. It starts with a Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed, but has the added sweetness of cheesecake cream in the middle.
Each of the pumpkin spiced donuts, along with Krispy Kreme's pumpkin spice protection plan, will only stick around until September 8. We'll overlook the fact that autumn doesn't officially start until September 23—both new donuts sound so good, they've got our mouths watering for pumpkin season. Plus, you can't beat picking one up for free!
