'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' Clip Dives Into Rocket Raccoon's Past
Ahead of the release of James Gunn's latest film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Marvel Studios has released a clip titled "Good to Have Friends" which dives into Rocket's backstory.
Young Rocket is seen lying in his cell next to three other animal test subjects with the ability to talk. Previously only assigned lab numbers, they decide to all think of a name for themselves. We're introduced to an otter named Lylla (Laura Barton), a rabbit named Floor (Mikaela Hoover), walrus named Teefs (Asim Chadhry), and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper).
"Someday I'm going to make great machines that fly and me and my friends are going to go flying together into the forever and beautiful sky Lylla and Teefs and Floor and me, Rocket," says Rocket in the clip
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled to premiere in the U.S. on May 5, 2023.
